End Student Poverty
The cost of living crisis disproportionately affects students. With the rising cost of rent, groceries, and utility bills, students are struggling to make ends meet while studying at University. It is time for fairer fares for all students.
Support Carers
Students are diverse—whether they are young, mature aged, or caring for a loved one. The circumstances in a student's life should not determine whether they are eligible for concession public transport fares. It is time to stop this discrimination, and provide fair fares for part-time students.
Support students with disabilities
Disabilities can be invisible. This doesn't mean students with disabilities shouldn't get fair fares. Some students may be immunocompromised, preventing them from attending campus; others may have chronic disabilities. Regardless, students with disabilities should be afforded the same opportunity to get fair fares.
Empowering Change
Public transportation should not be a barrier. Instead, it should empower students to be their best selves while training to be the next generation of Queenslanders. Public transportation should be accessible to all students, not just a select group.
